Fans of India pour into the New York Cricket Stadium for the T20 encounter against the USA, although some are divided in their allegiances.

During the match, the stadium was brimming with blue energy. While Indian supporters made up the majority of the audience, there were also some American supporters in attendance, many of whom were of Indian descent. Some even wore shirts with the names of both sides.

Vinay Manhass flew in particularly for the game from North Carolina, carrying the American flag and donning a cap with the flags of the United States and India on it. Manhass, who has lived in the nation for over 30 years, told USA TODAY that although he has a soft spot for his own team, he was cheering for the United States to win today’s game.

Manhass expressed his happiness at cricket’s arrival in the United States, observing a growing interest in the game among his American acquaintances.

In the crowds, a number of couples were also observed, with one half of the relationship sporting an Indian cricket team shirt and the other half sporting an American cricket team jersey.

The first “most in-demand” event at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium was India vs. Pakistan on Sunday, according to SeatGeek, which had previously alerted USA TODAY about Wednesday’s game. The game on Wednesday was also the final one played at the New York stadium before it was taken out and eventually disassembled.

Recap of India vs. US
India decided to bowl first after winning the toss on the uneven pitch. But after winning two straight matches, the American cricket team showed no signs of weakness and continued to dominate, giving Indian players a rough match and scoring a lot of runs.

The Silicon Valley sensation Saurabh Netravalkar dismissed India’s best batsmen, captain Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, early in the game, but the combination of Suryakumar Yadav and Shivam Dube proved to be productive for India, and they were able to overcome the U.S. team despite their best efforts to contain them.

After being penalized five runs for starting a new over earlier in the innings than the allotted 60 seconds, India was also able to easily defeat the United States. The ICC just unveiled this new regulation.

After the game, Sharma expressed his pride in Yadav and Dube for maintaining composure, growing their chemistry, and seeing the team through to the finish. He also gave his side’s bowlers credit, praising Arshdeep Singh, who was named Man of the Match for giving the squad a “perfect start” and removing the first two batters. As skipper Monank Patel recovers from an injury, vice captain Aaron Jones assumed captaincy for the game. He expressed his pride in his bowlers for “taking the game close” and called it “pleasant to see.”

Jones stated that after a few practice sessions, the team will “go hard against Ireland” in their next game.
